The Ottawa Dog Festival is an exciting event for area dog lovers, focused on showcasing a wide selection of quality services and products. The festival will also feature a number of activities that will provide fun for everyone. 


Public Lure Course 

Dog Lovers Days are providing a Lure Course, so your dog can try out this frantic and fun event for ONLY $3. Plus you can purchase photos of your champion mid-course for $20. Playful pups love chasing the lure through the obstacles, tackling tubes, and a winding maze!

Available all day Saturday & Sunday!



Dayna’s Pet Sitting Play Zone 

Run, Play, Chase Balls, and Jump into the Pool!  This enclosed play area is perfect for the younger puppy, older puppy, or any puppy who wants to have fun courtesy of Dayna’s Pet Sitting!



Rideau River Dock Dog Competitions – Watch for FREE, Compete for $30

High flying action from the Rideau River Dock Dogs ensures the competition will be wet and wild! Watch these incredible dogs compete for the longest jumping, highest flying titles!

Competition is $30, which includes practice all weekend. Registration is handled by the Rideau River Dock Dogs.  CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!

TryDockDogs – $15 Charitable Donation

Ever thought your pup could fly? think they have what it takes to dock dive with the pros? For a $15 charitable donation you can try the public waves… If you dog does well, you can even enter competitive waves for an additional $15!


Ottawa Bark Camp

Audience Participation IS Encouraged! Ottawa Bark Camp will demonstrate how to improve communication with your dog and how to improve their listening skills! Working with volunteers from the audience they will demonstrate training techniques for skills such as: Focus, Greeting Strangers, Sit/Stay, Heel and More! Visit for more information!



Canine First Aid with St. John Ambulance

Did you know that first aid skills and knowledge specific to dogs exist and can save your pet’s life in case of illness or injury? St. John Ambulance will be on hand in our demo ring to share some information on how you can save your pet’s life.



The Crumps’ Naturals Demo Ring

The Crumps’ Naturals Demo Ring is the place to be at the Festival. Home to fun activities, demos, workshops, presentations and our own #TopDogModels.

Meet & Greet Tent

Our Meet & Greet Tent is the place to be to meet the Festival’s Celebrity guests.

Shawn O’Sullivan, a former Olympic Boxer, referred to as a Boxer with a Boxer, will be supporting Boxer Rescue with a meet and greet. Stop by and visit Shawn.

Meet our 12 #TopDogModel winners and members of the #DogFestArmy throughout the weekend. Stop by and say hello to these dogs who have been working hard to promote Ottawa Dog Festival.

Ottawa Fire Services understand that dogs are important members in our families. The firefighters have been highly trained to rescue dogs from fires and other emergencies.  Meet our local fire personnel who will be demonstrating how they use an 02 Mask. This is a cone-shaped mask made especially for dogs and cats noses and is used to administer oxygen to our pets.
